Agathangelos (1815-95) was a prelate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Apart from the offices he resumed, he was successively the metropolitan of Svornikio, Drama and Ephesus. In the metropolis of Ephesus he remained for more than 20 years (1872-95).

Prelate of the klima of the Patriarchate of Constantinople with particularly important education and activities as well rich intellectual output. Before taking over the diocese of Smyrna he had pastured the dioceses of Nikaea and Anchialos. He also served as director of the Theological School of Chalki.

Chrysanthos (1778-1846) was appointed in the dioceses of Durazzo, Smyrna and Proussa. He is mostly known for his occupation with the ecclesiastical music.

A priest who for many years served as the metropolitan of Smyrna. His anti-Unitarian position caused the enmity of the Great Powers, whereas he was also involved in the struggle against the foundation of an autonomous Bulgarian church. He participated in the compilation and the validation of the patriarchal volume with which the independence of the Church of Greece was recognized.

A powerful personality of the Church of Trebizond and last metropolitan of the city, inspirer of the plan for the foundation of the “Pontic Republic”. He developed a noteworthy intellectual, ecclesiastic and political activity.
