Part of the episcopal complex of the city, the so-called episcopium is a structure with a peristyle court surrounded by rooms, a bath, a latrine and auxiliary chambers. It presents a rather unusual plan for an episcopium because it is affected by the imperial stoa structure, but its proximity to the episcopal church and a number of findings have led to its being considered as the city's bishop's palace. |
