ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
In the lower city, to the west of the Theater Street and near to the so-called episcopium lies a complex that has been identified as the Governor's palace. Originally interpreted as a bath, it is known in the older literature as Sarhoş Hamam ("the baths of the drunkard") because of its irregular plan. The structure has been excavated between 1954 and 1956 and is today partly accessible to visitors. |
