ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
The ancient city of Boubon is located in northern Lycia but the exact extent of its territory remains uncertain. The city may have been founded in the 2nd century BC, while activity at the site during the 3rd century AD is verified by inscriptions and architectural remains. Although little is known about the site's history, it has been proved that it formed a tetrapolis with neighbouring cities and that it was a member of the Lycian League. There is also evidence concerning civic, political administration and religion, while the best preserved building is identified as a Sebasteion. |
